Our Story

As a little girl I loved pink...my bedroom was decorated pink... and this was a theme that continued into my adulthood. Flowers and the colour pink filled my home in England, Australia and now in our home in North Wales.

However, my love of flowers and pink was not going to be my career. One of my earliest memories as a child was lining my teddy bears in a neat row, writing class registers, creating multiple exercise books and being delighted when I marked them. A few years later, when an archaeologist visited my primary school class....whilst other students chatted, I stood in awe. Therefore, it was no surprise to my family when I qualified as a secondary school history teacher in 2001. In my personal life I loved dancing and being outdoors, most weekends I was found camping, hiking, kayaking and gorge walking. These were all things that I could share with my students on residentials and during the extra curricular classes I coordinated after school. Teaching was perfect for me and I loved it.

Moving to Australia In 2013 was a huge adjustment for me. In Australia, I continued my love of teaching and found new things to love, such as daily walks along the coast and it was in Australia that I met my prince. Andy and I were engaged the year we met, in 2017.

Our daughter Aderyn arrived in 2019, and this is where our story comes full circle. I absolutely adored her name and I really wanted her name in pink free standing letters. Not being able to find what I wanted.... I made it myself. I loved it, but I was very surprised when family and friends asked where it was from because they would love some too, and so began Little Country Bird.

In 2022, Andy and I celebrated getting married on a beach in Australia and in the same year our family moved home to North Wales. Relaunching Little Country Bird internationally in 2023.

Our family, Emma (me), Andy and Aderyn feel honoured to be able to be part of your family's home, creating unique and special keepsakes.

Thank you for supporting our dream and small business.
None of this would be possible without you.
Love Emma
